What kind of scars are left after breast reduction surgery?

Scarring varies by incision location. At our clinic, vertical incisions are typically used, resulting in a one-shaped scar beneath and around the areola. Scars become less noticeable after 6 months or longer.

What is the recovery time for breast reduction surgery?

Pain is usually mild post-surgery, so daily activities are not severely affected. However, to prevent fluid accumulation inside the breast, a drain may be placed for around 3 days, during which rest is advised until the drain is removed.

When can I resume daily activities?

Light daily activities can be resumed relatively quickly, but use of the arms or exercise should be limited for a period after surgery.
